ST. LUCIA - The Wave Radio Station (94.5 & 93.7fm) is celebrating the success of the 1st annual Men in Heels event which took place on Sunday 2nd November 2014 at the Pigeon Island Causeway.

As the official radio sponsor of the successful annual Yoplait Walk for Cancer for the past 3 years, The Wave this year added this new element right after the Walk to focus on and raise awareness of Cancer in Men with proceeds going towards the St Lucia Cancer Society.

Men In Heels (Dash for Cash) took the form of an ‘obstacle course race’ where the participating men raced for the cash at the finish line, by completing the entire obstacle course in a pair of heels.

There was great participation from the crowd as they cheered on the large number of St Lucian men who came out to compete and to help raise awareness for the worthy cause. In the end Julian Toussaint became the first ever ‘Men in Heels Champion’ wining a $1000 cash, a trophy and a $400 Dinner voucher for Big Chef Steakhouse. Jerome Girard came in second place wining a hamper compliments CFL and a $500 voucher from St Lucia Bandag. Rounding off the competition in third place was Reginald St Juste wining a $400 voucher for Tapas on the Bay and a Protex Gift Box.

The management and staff of The Wave 94.5 & 93.7fm would like to send a heartfelt thank you to ALL their corporate sponsors who came onboard to support and sponsor the first annual Men In Heels Event.  Consolidated Foods, Digicel 4G, GTM, Super J Supermarkets,  Shoe Rehab,  Be Fit, St Lucia Bandag, Choice TV,  Reliable Tool Rental, Scotts Sports and Awards.
