Nassau, Bahamas - There's less than 30 days to the Greatest Show in the Galaxy – A Star Wars Christmas is the 2015 theme of the 6th Annual Sir Durward Knowles Festival of Lights Christmas Boat Parade.

Foreshadowing the blockbuster release of the film on 18 December at Galleria Cinemas, boat parade organizer and Trekkie enthusiast Sheila Bethel said:  “we wanted to do something different and topical, everyone’s anticipating the movie so we thought we would have some fun with it.”

The boat parade takes place on Saturday 12 December at 6.30pm, starting in Arawak Cay Bay.  New this year is a performance by the Royal Bahamas Defense Force Marching Band who will delight the crowds gathered for the kick-off to the festivities.

Fireworks will light up the sky as the dancing boats, adorned with their Christmas lights form the flotilla.  Party tickets, including dinner are available aboard the Sealink.  On the mainland, grand viewing spots include coastal eateries as well as Woodes Rodgers Walk, Potter’s Cay Dock and the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge.
