Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - Patrons of the premiere night for “RAISIN,” the Raisin in the Sun Musical, at the Regency Theatre on Friday, February 20, 2015, will be feted after the musical in a fashion never before seen on the island of Grand Bahama.

In collaboration with the Elden-McGlone Production Team, the Rotary Club of Lucaya is partnering with the Freeport Players’ Guild to provide the audience with a night to remember. Prior to the production, attendees will be given the exquisite “Rotarian salute,” the signature drink of the club. After the production, their palates will be sated with culinary delights and choice beverages from Bahamian Brewery to cap of a truly memorable evening.

The classic Broadway musical features some of the island’s finest talents, as well as some surprise performances and is expected to “bring the house down”.

Members of the public will just have to come out to see what is in store for them and experience the excitement and enjoyment that “Afterglow” provides. Tickets, which are limited, are $40.00 each and can be obtained from any member of the Rotary Club of Lucaya or at the Bell Channel Inn. Group seating is also available.

Part proceeds from this Gala Night will be used for the Rotary Club of Lucaya's 2015 signature project – The High School Smart Board Program. President of the Club, Clifford Bowe, said, “With the funds received from this event, we intend to donate two smart boards- one to St. George’s High School and the other to Jack Hayward High School -- to aid in the further educational development of our students. To complete this objective, the support of the community is greatly needed and, of course, always appreciated,” he concluded.
