Defence Headquarters, (RBDF): As a part of Commander Defence Force, Commodore, Dr. Raymond King’s strategic plans for the outreach throughout the communities and strengthening community relations, members of the Airwing Department took time out to give lending hands to the Gambier Primary School on May 6, 2021.

Led by Commanding Officer of the RBDF Airwing Department, Commander Reno Major, the team of Officers and Marines visited the school in Gambier Village, to assist in removing debris and old furniture from the premises. They utilized a rental disposal bin to discard the unwanted supplies, after which the team cleaned the storage room.

As part of its ongoing partnership with the school, Commodore King assures the organization’s commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the faculty, staff, and students. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Deloris Forbes, was grateful for the Defence Force’s continued assistance over the years.

Commander Major was pleased with his team’s performance and notes that they are ready to assist where necessary.

As the Royal Bahamas Defence Force patrols and protect the territorial integrity of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the organization also focuses on nation-building for the younger generation.
