Nassau, Bahamas - AS one of several vendors at Atlantic Medical’s Health and Wellness Fair, held at Charlotte House, the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) received a slew of questions and interest from participants anxious to try out the native delicacies.

Among the items that were successfully featured were eggplants, tomatoes, cabbage, pumpkin, sour orange, cooking thyme, honey, coconut oil, guava jam, Mortimer candy and Tasty Teas.

The BAMSI team included Curlean Major, Laurette Miller and John Johnson. BAMSI Supervisor Romaine Cummings was also on hand to assist with setting up the booth and serving as runner -  he was able to provide items when stocks ran low..

At the end of the day, BAMSI received a number of inquiries in connection with their involvement in health fairs and health-related events, including a fair hosted by Women’s Auxiliary of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church Women’s that is currently in the planning stages.
