Nassau, The Bahamas -  BTC embarked on a humanitarian initiative providing assistance for residence in New Providence two weeks ago. On Sunday, October 23rd, the company visited with residents from the Haitian community.

Chief Marketing Officer, Janet Georges-Brown said, “The country is hurting. Hurricane Matthew has truly left an indelible mark, but we believe that if every company, and every individual can do their part, we can restore this country in record time. BTC officially adopted the Haitian community years ago and just a few weeks ago we renewed that commitment. As a citizen of Haitian parentage, I am fully aware of the many persons in the Haitian community needing assistance. We provided potable water for residents who are still without electricity and running water. We also provided bread basket items for those in need.”

Since Hurricane Matthew, BTC has provided assistance to over three thousand (3k) residents across the country. BTC intends to host a relief effort in Grand Bahama within the coming days.
