Nassau, Bahamas - During the Easter Holiday, the Baha Mar Tigers soccer team hosted a youth soccer clinic for young people from several homes for children throughout New Providence. During the clinic, the sixty-four attendees, ranging in age from seven to seventeen years old, learned soccer techniques and skills to improve their performance on the pitch.
The youth soccer clinic was held in conjunction with BELIEVE, the Baha Mar Foundation, which provided lunch and giveaways for the clinic’s attendees. A team of nineteen people gave of their time to help organize and run the clinic. The event attracted volunteers from the Baha Mar Tigers soccer team and the BELIEVE Foundation, as well as volunteers from China Construction America, Baha Mar’s general contractor, and Thyssen Krupp, a consultant company.
“Great communities are built only when we all work together for a common good. Through BELIEVE, we are strengthening our ongoing efforts to transform The Bahamas by fostering a culture of volunteerism and community service at Baha Mar and, by extension, in our community,” commented Paul Pusateri, Chief Operating Officer at Baha Mar.
Guided by three sustaining pillars - community, culture and conservation, the BELIEVE Foundation actively supports various community initiatives such as the Freedom Farms Baseball League and Hands for Hunger Food Rescue Program.
