Bahamian Entrepreneur creates exclusive beauty experience at new chic nail bar in Nassau

Nassau, Bahamas - Bahamian Entrepreneur Georgette Sands provides an exclusive new experience at The Nail Lounge nail bar on Parliament Street in downtown Nassau. Close friends and family were offered a sneak peek into the lounge, which officially opened on August 25th, 2014.

As the first customers walked into the lounge, they were delighted to see the TIffany Blue walls, crystal chandeliers, plush white furnishings and pink accents, and stained wooden flooring throughout the lounge. The layout of the lounge is modern and chic, and features classy decor accents in a sophisticated atmosphere.

The experience began with an offer of tea, coffee, or water, along with mini guava cupcakes while deciding from the large selection of OPI and Zoya polishes. Customers were treated to full manicures and pedicures as  they laughed and chatted with the friendly and professional nail technicians. The few gentlemen that were present took advantage of the pedicure services as the lounge offers the “Big Boys Lounger” package, for the men who like to keep their hands and feet well groomed.

Owner and manager of the lounge, Georgette, could be seen bustling about to ensure that each customer had a fantastic experience, and personally made adjustments and assisted with the services offered.

A quick chat with Georgette showed her passion for fashion and beauty, the drive behind bringing the lounge to life. As a child, Georgette recalls doing her hair and styling her sister’s hair for school, as well as offering to braid or style her friends hair before the start of school.  

Not only does Georgette have a passion for beauty and fashion, she has been employed at an IT service company for over 15 years, and manages and operates a mobile nail services company (Nail Taxi Bahamas) for 3 years. Georgette is no stranger to working hard and going after her goals. “I wanted to provide an unmatched customer experience” said Georgette, smiling as took in the activity around her. “I have hand-picked a professional team that is dedicated to the level and pride I take in my own work”.
