Nassau, New Providence - The organizing committee of the fifth annual Bahamian Icon Awards is pleased to announce that we have formed a strategic partnership with ALIV, the country’s newest, dynamic telecommunications company. The three-year Title Sponsorship agreement coincides with the 5th Anniversary of the program that honours excellence and achievement in Bahamian Communities.
It also represents an opportunity to expand the Icon brand in ways that provide additional value to the nominee, participant and viewer experience and it continues to foster ALIV’s connection and commitment to the country’s growth and development. Since its inception in 2013, 243 persons have been honoured with a Bahamian Icon Award Nomination, and the statue has been awarded to 51 outstanding citizens from across the country.

Other companies partnering with The Bahamian Icon Awards include Cable Bahamas, Island Luck, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, The Bahamas Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, Scotiabank, Sky Bahamas Airlines, Carpet World, FYP Builders Mall and Bollinger Champagne.
The 2017 ALIV Bahamian Icon Awards will take place on June 17, 2017 at the Melia Nassau Beach Resort and will broadcast LIVE on OUR TV nationwide. Nominee submissions are now being accepted through the website at www.bahamianiconawards.com.
Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2017.
