Nassau, New Providence - On May 30th, 2015 activists and their allies will
converge at the African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas African Liberation Day
(ALD) event.
ALD is a Call
to all freedom loving Africans and our allies, to join this African Liberation
Day mobilization as part of our efforts to take our destiny in our own hands.
African people
are scattered all over the world, but if we unite we are more than one billion
strong. In unity is where our power lies and where our salvation will come.
The struggle
for a united and socialist Africa will come through revolution that is led by a
conscious black working class, organized in its own interest, with its own
revolutionary Party.
Chairman Alex Morley will present a keynote address
under the theme:
“Revolutionary Organization Equals The Only
Solution for Poor and Working Class Africans”. There will also
be Solidarity Statements from Ms. Sheleta Collie, Labour Activist; Priest
Philip Blyden, House of Rastafari; Pastor Cleavland Eneas III, Qubtic Church of
the Black Messiah; and Mr. Lucien Emmanuel, Community Servant.
Lastly,
there will be cultural performances in the form of African drumming and dance by
Princess Pratt, RasKohen Cecil, Deccico Hall and Ean Maura and a live musical
performance by musical artiste Jah Doctrine.
The
African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas is a part of a larger organization
called the African Socialist International founded by Chairman Omali Yeshitela.
We have members throughout the world working toward a unified and liberated
Africa and we are guided by the theory of African Internationalism.
