Nassau, Bahamas - CIBC FirstCaribbean recently made generous donations of essential food items to both Unity House and Great Commission Ministries.

Originally aiming to assist those in need during a time when many families would gather together to celebrate the festive season, the bank went above and beyond to provide a variety of items to sustain the nursing home and homeless shelter in their operations in the new year. Items donated include: corned beef, tuna, bails of rice, grits, flour, macaroni, mashed potatoes, corn, oatmeal, sugar, cooking oil, and of course hams and turkeys in keeping with the season.

“Food is a basic necessity and we are honoured to have been able to contribute to these institutions in a way that helps support their efforts to satisfy this need within our community. Every bit helps!” said Marie Rodland-Allen, Managing Director, CIBC FirstCaribbean in the Bahamas.
