For the second year Coca-Cola supports 2015 National Independence Cycling Championship

New Providence, Bahamas - As the country prepares to celebrate 42 years of Independence the Bahamas Cycling Federation will host a two day event in this honor. The Annual National Independence Cycling Championship will take place this weekend across New Providence, with starting places in both Goodman’s Bay, and Clifton Park, and Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC), the local producer of Coca-Cola, will be on board to support this effort for the second year.

“This National Independence Cycling Championship is the Bahamas Cycling Federation’s way of encouraging the cycling community and encouraging competitive cycling in our community” explains Roy Colebrook President of the Federation. “With every community building activity there are a number of costs that would hinder the events success without the invaluable support of corporate Bahamas, and notable sponsors such as Caribbean Bottling.”

“Caribbean Bottling Company is proud to support well establish sporting events such as Ride For Hope and Marathon Bahamas, but supporting growing events such as this National Independence Cycling Championship, and the Defend Ya Spike Volleyball tournament are just as important to us” says Cara Douglas, Marketing Manager at CBC. “We are proud to be able to support the communities in which we live and operate.”

This year and the year before not only did Caribbean Bottling support the National Independence Cycling Championship with a cash donation but also with beverage donation, on both days, of Dasani water, and PowerAde sports drink. The event is being held this weekend July 4th and 5th. The Bahamas Cycling Federation can be contacted at bahamascyclingfederation@gmail.com.
