Today, we join the rest of the nation in mourning the loss of a beloved Bahamian daughter and patriot. Theresa Moxey Ingraham will be eulogized as one who served her country and people in various capacities with excellence.

In her roles as a parliamentarian, politician, educator, actress and activist, she drew admiration from individuals from all levels of society. Ms. Moxey Ingraham was a brave, articulate, and passionate woman who commanded the respect of many. There is no doubt that her demise has left a void among the ranks of women leaders in The Bahamas, but we are comforted that she has left her footprints in the sands of The Bahamas with her work through the years.

She will be remembered as a trailblazer, mentor, teacher and role model to Bahamian men and women. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to her family, loved ones and friends. Please rest assured that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult.

Adieu Theresa Moxey Ingraham

May her soul rest in peace.
