Nassau, Bahamas - Fashion writer, Tyrina Neely of Nassau has been one busy girl since the beginning of this year!  Not only does she write for TheBahamasWeekly.com and other publications, and run her own fashion business called Primadonna Sales, but she's recently launched the successful food service, Brown Bag Gourmet Lunch Delivery in Nassau.

The Bahamas Weekly loves eating her yummy lunches whenever we are in Nassau and often there is so much in one lunch that it leaves half for another meal! Great value for your dollar.

Here is an interview with the Tyrina Neely, founder of Brown Bag Delivery:

TBW: What sparked the idea for Brown Bag Delivery and give us a brief overview about your service?

Never mind my size, I have always loved food and happen to be a big eater. I literally dream of what I feel like eating and then make it. Many times I wished I could find the types of healthy but tasty foods I love to eat from local eateries but our market is saturated with unhealthy fast food options. On a long flight back home last year I decided to launch Brown Bag to offer quality food at an affordable price with the convenience of free delivery.

Brown Bag is a gourmet lunch delivery and catering company. We offer tasty, health conscious meals that include both an appetizer and main course for just $15.00. The kicker is we also offer free delivery to homes and offices with no minimum order.

We started in March of 2011 and operated on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but recently launched Lasagne Fridays. Our menu changes daily and customers can learn of our weekly menu by joining our mailing list.  Email: brownbagbahamas@gmail.com to be added.

You can also follow us on Facebook to see our daily menus at facebook.com/brownbaggourmet

We provide the nutritional facts for all of our meals and package them in containers that are dishwasher safe, re-useable and microwaveable.

TBW: You always provide the nutritional component of all that you serve to your customers. How are you able to do this? Are you creating recipes or following a plan?

We create all of our recipes. Once the recipe is created we input all ingredients into a computer software which generates the nutritional facts so people can understand what they are eating. Computers are awesome!

TBW: In these tough economic times, how is it that you found a niche market and how is your business growing?

Necessity is the mother of invention. Exposure from living in several countries around the world has opened my eyes to opportunities here in my home country that have not been tapped into sufficiently. After moving home I longed for the days when I could go on the internet, see a meal I wanted, call the restaurant, give them my credit card information and have food at my door in twenty minutes. Brown Bag seeks to fill that niche locally.

Our major area of growth is corporate catering. We have been lucky to receive several big opportunities to cater corporate lunches and want to develop that area of the business more.

TBW: What challenges have you faced that you otherwise may not have been aware of before starting your new business?

Our biggest challenge is the fact that many people don't know what they want to eat until just before lunch time. Encouraging our customers to place orders a day in advance has been a little challenging. Other than that, our major challenges are ones we anticipated before launching, such as traffic and raising capital for expansion.

TBW: What's next for Brown Bag?

Tons! Brown Bag has only been in business for about 3 months but there are many avenues we want to explore. Increasing our days of operation to five days a week and getting Brown Bag products such as our popular soups and pasta salad appetizers in grocery stores are our short-term goals.

TBW: Kudos, kudos, kudos! Share with us some of your best testimonials.

There is nothing like receiving amazing emails from customers who love the food and service. It's literally why we do this! Here are some of them:

"Hi, you done done it again! If U WERE A MAN, I'D MARRY YOU!!! this food is awesome!" - Rebecca

"Had your snapper today with red potatoes and crab dip...absolutely awesome!!! Thanks so much!" - Joey
