WEST END, Grand Bahama - More than $5,000 in proceeds from the Guy Harvey Outpost inspired Burning Wahoo Bonfire Series fishing tournaments hosted by Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbor have been donated to the West End Primary School on Grand Bahama Island.

Cliff Jensen, Guy Harvey Outpost’s Director of Sport Fishing and Watersports along with GM James Culmer and Resort Manager Jackie Carroll with Old Bahama Bay Resort recently met with school principal Navidia Mills and students for a ceremonial check presentation.

The $5,330 donation from the Outpost’s two initial Bonfire Series tournaments is part of Guy Harvey’s “Travel With a Purpose” mission, which combines a unique celebration at Outpost Destinations while promoting conservation awareness, science and education.

“ We have a great and fully committed partner at Old Bahama Bay and our support of the West End Primary School reflects our mission to fully engage with customers and the community wherever we hold tournaments and do business,” said Jensen.

Jensen said the K-6 school, with an enrollment of 116 students, is already putting the donation to good use with capital improvements and school related program funding.

The commitment, said Jensen, will continue with the third installment of the Burning Wahoo Bonfire Series scheduled for February 2016.
