In September of this year, newly appointed national director and former beauty queen Ms. Kerel Pinder officially selected Grand Bahama native; Kylie Butler as the 2015 Miss Heritage Bahamas delegate.

Kylie is a 19-year-old honors graduate of Bishop Michael Eldon High School. She is currently pursuing her Biochemistry degree at the College of the Bahamas’ Northern Campus. Although Kylie is a fresh face to pageantry, she is no stranger to the stage. Kylie began her modeling career four years ago and is now excited about the opportunity to represent her country on an international stage.

After an outstanding representation by former Miss Grand BahamaShequera King at the first ever Miss Heritage Pageant, Kerel is confident that Kylie has the talent and drive to follow in Shequera’s footsteps. Shequera was the first Bahamian woman to compete and win this international competition that was held in Zimbabwe, Africa in 2013. It is the hope of the Miss Heritage Bahamas Organization that Kylie will also be successful in capturing this international title for the Bahamas once again.

Miss Heritage was founded on the basis to incorporate all nations, having young unmarried beautiful women from the ages of 17 to 28 from over 50 different countries to be involved in the process of initiating positive sustainable development to the world through the use of beauty pageantry to promote world heritage and tourism. The concept for Miss Heritage Pageant compliments the vision, mission and objectives of (UNESCO) United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Convention of 1972 and the 2003 Convention on safeguarding cultural heritage.

The Finals of Miss Heritage are set to commence on November 15th, 2015in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Voting is currently underway for the 2015 Miss Heritage Pageant. Fellow Bahamians and supporters of Miss Heritage Bahamas are urged to show their support by voting today at their official voting website:http://431130.tbits.me/
