Nassau, Bahamas - Lyford Cay International School launched a new advertising campaign to promote their OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, 13th February 2010 (3:30pm) on the school campus. The campaign features alumni and current students’ educational highlights to encourage parents to make the choice of a lifetime and find out more about the school at the upcoming Open House event.

The latest advert features Shannon Dejong (Grade 12) and Issa Saunders (Grade 11) who recently received their BGCSE Best in Subject awards for English and Spanish respectively at a ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Education. Former LCIS student Eva Suchecki, who is now studying in Europe, received the French award. Last year, LCIS students, who selected to write the BGCSE’s, achieved a 95% A to C pass rate resulting in an outstanding B plus average. These students ranged from grades 7-11.

Principal Stacey Bobo commented, “LCIS students continue to amaze me on a daily basis – they really are great kids, going places. Our admission’s Open House event is an ideal way to find out why more families are choosing LCIS, to hear about our programs and meet some of the parents, staff and our great kids.”

The Open House will consist of a visual presentation to learn more about the rigorous International Baccalaureate academics and recent success in the Bahamian examinations; the state of the art technology platform; diverse international and Bahamian student body; the small class sizes; and the financial aid program, which is available to qualifying Bahamians and Permanent Residents.

Any prospective parents wishing to attend should contact Admissions Director, Mrs. Rose-Marie Taylor on telephone 362 4774 x245 or email rtaylor@lcis.bs.
