One of Dr. Myles Munroe's mentees planning to remember his life in a special way for her birthday. Former Broadcast journalist and mentee of the late Dr. Myles Munroe, Syann Thompson plans to get his mentees around The Bahamas and the world and those impacted by his life to participate in the first Myles Munroe Lunchtime Moments.

Dr. Myles Munroe was an internationally renowned speaker, author and senior pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International in Nassau, Bahamas who passed away in a plane crash November 9th, 2014 in Grand Bahama along with his wife Pastor Ruth Munroe, Senior Vice President Dr. Richard Pinder, Pilot Stanley Thurston, co-pilot Frakhan Cooper, Lavard and Radel Parks, their son Jojo and American Diego Santiago.

"It’s my birthday February 1st and on Monday, February 2nd to mark the occasion, I want to remember a great man who changed my life. Dr. Myles Munroe at the end of a church service said many times, “Tell the person next to you, 'If you knew who I was, you would take me to lunch today.' ” Those who would have attended services at Bahamas Faith Ministries would remember he said that consistently," said Miss Thompson.

Dr. Munroe, who advised governments around the world, taught widely on Leadership, Purpose, Potential and Vision. He was known for empowering the lives of many and encouraging them to live life on purpose. For her birthday, Thompson is introducing 'Myles Munroe Lunchtime Moments.’

"I want all my friends and anyone anywhere in the world who was impacted by his life to join me on Monday, February 2nd in treating someone to lunch. If you’re in The Bahamas, it could be a fancy lunch somewhere, Bamboo Shack, Subway, a vegan restaurant, Graycliff, wherever.”

"Find someone, anyone, the homeless man on East Street you pass every morning, a co-worker, a sibling, whomever. Let them know that they are a great human being," said Thompson.

Below are the steps to follow to participate in the Myles Munroe Lunchtime Moments on Monday, February 2nd, 2015:

Step One: Choose a person you would like to treat to lunch.

Step Two: Tell the person, “I am treating you to lunch, courtesy of Dr. Myles Munroe. I believe you are a great human being, but the world doesn’t know it yet.”

Step Three: Take photos of your Myles Munroe Lunchtime Moment and post it on Twitter and/or Facebook as #MylesMunroeLunchTimeMoments and tag Myles Munroe.
