The Peace for Life Promotions team along with their partners and sponsors plan to host our second annual “Peace Begins With Me” weekend on February 27 and 28, 2015. The weekend will commence with a National day of Peace across the country, where we invite the nation to observe a moment of silence and pray for peace in our nation.

Over the two day period, we have scheduled a Peace T-shirt Day, National Youth Peace Rally, Gospel concert, Peace Motorcade, Artist for Peace Showcase and Junkanoo Peace Rush Out. All of these events will be held at the Cultural Heritage Site, Arawak Cay.

The purpose of this weekend is to motivate the general public to participate in positive activities and exhibit peaceful behaviours, once synonymous with our nation. We want to sensitize all persons on the importance of promoting peace in their schools, work places, homes and communities. We also want to promote peace, love and unity amongst all residents in The Bahamas, while sending a strong message to STOP THE VIOLENCE.

We invite you, your family, church members, coworkers and friends to support, participate and attend all of the aforementioned events. We strongly believe in the words of our national pledge, “…..one people united in love and service”. If we demonstrate this continuously, change would definitely be visible in our society.

Your support and participation in this project will go a long way in helping us achieve our goals, while we seek to transform many lives and try to create a safer more peaceful society for future generations. We hope that we have piqued your interest and that you are encouraged to support us.
