Members of New Entry 40 and Woman Entry 12 successfully completed their Marine Recruit Training course on 23rd August 2004 and became official members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. On this their 10th year of service in the Defence Force, these squad members have decided not only to celebrate their accomplishment with each other, but to give back to the community that they have vowed to protect and serve.

In keeping with their mandate, squad members realized that it is not only their duty as Marines to assist in times of disaster, but it is their duty as Bahamians to assist each other in times of need. When squad members decided that they wanted to have a clothing and food drive, they chose Great Commission Ministries because of the many families that this Ministry is able to assist on a daily bases with either food or clothing.

So, squad members have come together as members of the same Entry to donate clothing for distribution throughout the neighboring community, along with canned goods and other food items to assist with the preparation of food for the many people who are fed daily through this ministry.
