The R M Bailey Senior High School Student Council hosted the first ever career day in the school's modern history for 12th grade students today 05 February 2019 at the school's Robinson Road campus.

The 12th grade students at the school were eager to get a head start on learning about different traditional and non traditional career options available to them. The students were also excited to get advice from young professionals on applying for jobs, college, and scholarships.

The 12th grade class took it upon themselves to organize the entire event which was executed seamlessly.

Professionals who imparted knowledge to the students included:
-Barry N. Griffin, Corporate Attorney;
-Dr. Theo Strachan, Junior Doctor;
-Trevare' Sherman, Human Resources Executive;
-Tarran Knowles, Certified Personal Trainer
-Tevin Carey, IT professional; and
-Inspector Leonardo Burrows, Royal Bahamas Police Force

Student Council President Reuben Noel said, "We are grateful to all the professionals who took time out of their schedules to speak to us today. We learned about finding our purpose, and got some great advice about exploring different career options."

Attorney Barry Griffin, who assisted the students in planning the day said, "I'm extremely proud of the R M Bailey students who took matters into their own hands and organized a great day of talks from various professionals. The students were all very engaging and excited about their future. I was happy to lend a hand in organizing and participating."
