Scotiabank Sponsors Paradise Plates

Nassau, The Bahamas, September 22, 2016 – Scotiabank has partnered with Hands for Hunger to sponsor Paradise Plates, the agency’s signature fundraising event.

“The community is at the heart of all we do at Scotiabank. We are proud to partner with Hands for Hunger in the fight against hunger in our community,” said Maxine Seymour, Scotiabank’s Manager for Sponsorships & Philanthropy.  

Paradise Plates – a unique evening of gourmet food and beverage tastings, complemented by live entertainment, a live and silent auction, and raffle – is scheduled for next Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Atlantis Grand Ballroom, Paradise Island.

About Hands for Hunger

Hands For Hunger is a nonprofit humanitarian organization focused on eliminating unnecessary hunger and significantly reducing food waste through the creation of meaningful and engaging partnerships formed amongst all sectors of the Bahamian community. Since 2008, we have been able to provide over 850,000 meals to Bahamians in need through our food rescue program that currently assists 14 Recipient Agencies throughout New Providence, while preventing approximately 1,300+ tons of CO2 emissions from entering our atmosphere.
