Soccer For Haiti Check Presentation

Nassau, Bahamas - The organizers of the recent Soccer for Haiti charity event the men’s teams of the Bahamas Football Association Senior League;  Baha Juniors, Bears FC, Cavalier FC, COB, Dynamos FC, FC Nassau, Lyford Cay FC, Sharks FC and  United FC were pleased to present a check for $12500 to Mr. Brendon Watson, the President of the Bahamas Red Cross for the ongoing relief efforts in the earthquake hit nation of Haiti.

The teams came together to organize, promote and host the recent charity event that featured soccer matches between a Haitian XI, a Bahamas XI, a Jamaican XI and a Rest of the World XI as well as games, competitions, musical entertainment and a variety of food and beverages.

The organizers wish to thank the many volunteers, sponsors, artists, players, fans and many others who all came together to make the day a great success and benefit those in need. On hand to present the check to Mr Watson were: (L-R) Trevor McKenzie - United FC, Pierre LaFleur - Cavalier FC, Steve MacLaren - Lyford Cay FC, Craig Lenihan - FC Nassau, Mr Watson, Anton Sealey - President, Bahamas Football Association, Larry Minns - Bears FC, Van Dyke Bethel - College of the Bahamas.
