Jun 20 - Jul 8: Nassau Rowing Club's Learn to Row Camp is designed to introduce Bahamian high school students to the sport of rowing under the instruction of Coach Anthony "AC" Chacon, Head Men's Coach at California State University - Long Beach. Students will be taught basic rowing technique on indoor rowing machines, then moved to Lake Cunningham where they will be supervised by Coach Chacon from a motorized safety launch.  8AM - 12 noon. $150 per week, $250 for two weeks. Jun 20 to Jul 30: - Innovative Science Camps – Summit Academy July 20 - July 1; St. Thomas More - July 4th - July 15; St. Paul's Church- July 19- July 29 . Six weeks of fun, hands on science for primary school students between the ages of 5 and 12 years. This camp is a hands-on, interactive fun experience for students. The interactive nature of this camp provides a stimulating environment for students with a keen interest in science as well as those who may have an aversion to the subject.Campers will have an opportunity to experience the joy of scientific exploration through robotics, solar energy and the science of motion. The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily. The cost is $300.00 per week and includes all equipment and supplies needed, lunch, field trip, field trip transportation and a t-shirt. Jun 27 - Aug 12: The NAGB’s Mixed Media Summer Camp is designed to expose campers ages 7 to 18 to different art forms, encourage the development of artistic skills and educate young people about Bahamian art history. The camp is scheduled to run from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in two three-week sessions. Summer camp enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.  The camp will be divided into two sessions: Session 1, from June 27 to July 15, 2016, and Session 2, from July 25 to August 12, 2016. Jun 27 - Jul 1: Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation (BREEF) Camp. Boys and girls ages 8-14 yrs. Held at Ardastra Gardens Zoo & Conservation Center. Jun 27 to Aug 19: Brajaxba Tennis Camp, Gym Tennis Club in Winton Meadows, just North of the Rugby Pitch, 9am to 12pm. (No camp on Public Holidays – July 11 & August 1). Brajaxba’s Team of experienced Coaches would be happy to help your children develop their tennis skills thru drills, match play, fitness and fun games. We cater to ages 4 – 17. Registration Fee: $25. 6 week camp, 10am to 3:30pm, aimed at children ages 8 to 16 (boys and girls). Focus on academic grade level development, offering a community-oriented, holistic approach to youth development. Jul 4 - 8: Hands On Nature Camp at Ardastra Gardens

Jul 4 - Aug 19: FilMAD Camp. 9:00am - 2:30 pm;  Monday to Friday.  For kids/teens ages 5 - 17 years interested in Writing, Photography, Filmmaking and Acting;  CAMP I - Monday July 4th -  Friday 29th:  provides classes in Lighting, Shot Composition, Animation, Music Videos, Shooting, Editing, Art & Craft, Set Design, Make Up and Sound Design, where students participate in filming - cooking challenges, interviews, talk shows, music videos, documentaries and short films. EARLY REGISTRATION -  Friday June 3rd; $275 p/month or $75 p/week  -  2nd REGISTRATION  - Friday July 1st;  $350 p/month. LATE REGISTRATION - $375 p/month - July 4th;  Weekly Rate - $100.  CAMP II - Monday 1st August - Friday 19th August: is a Film Production Camp ONLY -  for Independent Short Film Projects. Jul 12 - 29: The Bahamas Humane Society Summer Camp  Boys and girls aged 6 - 13 years.  At the Bahamas Humane Society Summer Camp children learn the basics of animal care and humane treatment. They read educational books and watch DVDs and do some fun worksheets.  They interact with the BHS adoption animals and have question and answer sessions with the staff.  Camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day.  There will be two sessions: July 12 - 15 and July 25 - 29.  Space is limited so please do register soon.  Cost is $125 per week.  Campers should bring a snack and drink.  A dog leash for walking and an old towels bathing dogs are useful.  All the animals enjoy treats (dog bones, cat treats, carrots, apples for the donkeys)!

Jul 18 - 22: Pollution Solution Camp at Ardastra Gardens

Aug 15-19: 2016 Summer Archery Program.  St Paul’s Sports Field, Lyford Cay from 9:30-11am. Open to children aged 10-16. A perfect opportunity for kids to experience the sport of archery in a safe and controlled environment. Students will learn the basics of Archery through a series of challenges, exercises and games, with skills including: Range Safety; Understanding Equipment' Shooting Form; Shot Execution; Scoring for Competition. Students will earn each of the five official Explore Archery awards as they progress. Jun 20 - Aug 12: The Grand Bahama Sailing Club is looking forward to a summer of fun on the water with the start of our Summer Adventure Sailing Camps on June 20th. We are hosting 4 camps, ​​each camp is 2 weeks long and teaches children from age 5-17 not only how to sail but also teamwork, leadership skills, how to think for themselves and to be more responsible. , at Grand Bahama's Sailing Club. 9 a.m. to noon weekdays.  $150 per 2 week session or $20 per day drop in rate.  No equipment required except suitable shoes. Jul 4 - 15: The Freeport Players' Guild Camp Centre Stage
starts July 4th at the Regency Theatre. Taking kids ages 7 to 15 for an exciting two-week course designed to teach and enhance skills in various aspects of the theatre. Jul 18 – 22, 2016: Humane Society of Grand Bahama - Potcake PalsSummer Camp. Come on out for a week of fun to learn how to care for &train a puppy basic obedience while having hands-on fun with the dogs &cats up for adoption. Experience what the HSGB is all about & even meet the vet! Field trip to Ol’ Freetown Farm & a fun carnival day with arts &crafts, games & more. Only $40 per child – 4 years old & up.
