Nassau, Bahamas - The Sandals Foundation donated 10 computers to two well deserving charities, the Bahamas Aids Foundation and the PACE Program.

On hand to make the presentation to the two organizations on behalf of the Sandals Foundation were team members from Sandals Royal Bahamian along with the property’s General Manager Patrick Drake.

The Sandals Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts. The Foundation funds educational, community and environmental projects throughout the Caribbean.

“We are very happy to make this contribution to these two vital organizations in our community. The work of the Bahamas Aids Foundation and the PACE Program ensures that some of the most vulnerable members of our population are given a fighting chance at life,” Mr. Drake said.

The Pace Program provides education and support to teen mothers and promotes awareness and policies that reduce both teen pregnancy and unplanned pregnancy among young adults.

Jacqueline Knowles Program Coordinator at PACE said that the Sandals Foundation’s donation will ensure that the young ladies are given opportunities to make positive contributions to society.

The mission of The Foundation is to support the fight against HIV/AIDS in the community. Their vision is to provide education and awareness, to assist in the prevention, treatment and cure and to provide support for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Board Member of the Bahamas AIDS Foundation Dr Vaughan Conliffe said that the Foundation’s donation was greatly appreciated.

“We are grateful for the generousity of cooperate sponsors like the Sandals Foundation who support our work in the Bahamas,” Dr Conliffe said.
