Turnberry, truly a street of wonder for the Seahorse Institute & Bahamas Humane Society – Carmen Massoni, centre, founder of Bahama Islands Realty, presents proceeds from the recent open house, art exhibit, crafts and artisans display at Turnberry at Charlottesville to two beneficiary organisations. The novel idea called Turnberry Street of Wonders drew hundreds who paid a small gate fee to tour the luxury townhomes, stroll the art and artisans show and contribute to the Bahamas Humane Society and Seahorse Institute, a school for children with autism. Artists donated a portion of their sales and a silent auction also helped raise funds. Accepting the donations are Stephen Turnquest, executive director, Bahamas Humane Society, and Dr. Michelle Major, clinical director and school psychologist of the Seahorse Institute. The event raised more than $8,000.

Nassau, Bahamas - Weeks after hosting Turnberry’s Street of Wonders, an event that showcased the talent and skill of local artisans during an open house at Charlotteville, organizers Bahama Islands Realty makes a donation to The Seahorse Institute & The Bahamas Humane Society.

The brainchild of Bahama Island Realty founder, Carmen Massoni, the event garnered interest from more than 20 artists and vendors eager to give part of their sales to two worthwhile organizations.

“We at Bahama Islands Realty thought it very important to use our influence to make a meaningful contribution to the Seahorse Institute and the Bahamas Humane Society,” shared Massoni. “Bahama Islands Realty understands that although non-profit groups receive funding from the government, those funds only go so far and for many, the support they receive from the private sector keeps the processing afloat.”
