PARADISE ISLAND, The Bahamas – Atlantis, Paradise Island will be the picturesque setting behind one of six Miami HEAT Dancers featured in the Miami HEAT Basketball organization’s new calendar.

Atlantis, Paradise Island is part of a cross-promotional partnership with the Miami HEAT organization and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism that will feature the Islands of The Bahamas as the backdrop for this year’s HEAT Dancers poster and web-based calendar.

Six HEAT Dancers will be featured on what is entitled, “Six Months of HEAT” presented by the Islands of The Bahamas. This exclusive web-based, downloadable calendar will feature a different HEAT Dancer each month and contain an imbedded offer from a different island in the Bahamas. Atlantis will be the backdrop for November which will be the first calendar month featured.

Atlantis Brands Communication Manager Vanessa Zuccarini says the publicity could mean more business for the resort. “It’s a way to target our South Florida audience. We can show off how great Atlantis, Paradise Island is. It’s the perfect weekend get-a-way.”

The HEAT dancers held their photo shoot at the ultra- exclusive ‘Cain at The Cove’ (a privileged access adult only pool area). Zuccarini notes that it’s the perfect way to attract the couples market that can appreciate Cain.

The dancers also hung out with the dolphins at Dolphin Cay and later partied the night away at Aura Nightclub.

The Miami HEAT’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Stephen Weber, accompanied the girls on their Atlantis shoot. He says the Miami HEAT Dancers are the most popular dance team in the NBA and have held that crown for three years in a row. “It’s the first time we’re doing an electronic calendar and it’s the first time we’re actually shooting the girls off property. Atlantis is the perfect choice because of all the options; ambiance, dining and lots of amenities. It’s perfect for HEAT fans,” explained Weber.

This partnership is a win-win situation for all. “Our website gets 8 million visitors annually. With Atlantis featured on our site and also with promotional offers available, it’s a great opportunity for this resort to attract more guests,” Weber stated.

Additionally, a pproximately 15,000 posters will be given away during the HEAT’s first Bahamas-themed night, which will take place November 14.
