Miami, FLORIDA - 23 year old Bahamian filmmaker, Jarrod A Knowles' dreams came true and his hard work paid off when his film, "What Lies Beyond...The Beginning" premiered on the big screen on October 27th at O Cinema in Miami Shores, and now his film will have its theatrical release screening at AMC 24 Aventura, FL for one week, starting March 21st. So far, it has been featured on DecoDrive and Island TV (South Florida Press Groups).

Likely known as the only Bahamian ever to delve into the genre of horror, this feature length film is dabbled with hilarious comedy and
is about 8 diverse college students on an ecology research trip along with a witty chaperone who must decide whether to fight for their lives OR fight to escape, when suddenly all hell breaks loose.

When asked why he chose that particular genre he said, "
Horror is typically one of the easier genres to produce, as far as competition is concerned, because there aren't many great horror films. Moreover, you usually don't need a huge budget, or big name actors."

The MIami-based film producer and Florida International University alumnist was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas and attended Kingsway Academy and Queens College as well as home-schooled for a year.  When asked how the storyline came about he said, "I t all started with a script I wrote when I was a freshman in college. One day, I decided I'd turn the words on the page into moving pictures. I did not sleep well until the story was told, and the vision was realized. I hosted a casting call, secured a familiar location, hustled together some resources, and thus began my journey into the film world."
