Bahamian gospel-reggae artists signs with GospelTracks Records

Nassau, Bahamas - Bahamian gospel reggae artist Gesner Dalmon aka Mr. J has announced that he has signed a non exclusive record distribution deal with gospel label and record company GospelTracks Records. GospelTracks records will facilitate the promotion and online digital sales of Mr. J’s very first EP titled Hands In Praises. The single can be found on Beatport.com by searching “Hands In Praises Mr. J” and other popular online music sites.

GospelTracks Records is a music company in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil dedicated to the distribution of various gospel genres through affiliated online music stores. They are in two hundred and forty territories and on one hundred and nineteen online stores worldwide. In its endeavor to expand its reach and provide massive exposure for artists, GospelTracks Records distributes materials to Beatport, which is the largest music store for DJs in the world. By creating a DJ pool, Beatport allows new artist to be viewed by hundreds of DJs that are part of the music lifeline. Beatport also allow persons to setup a customer account to purchase music online. Besides being a record label and distribution company, GospelTracks Records also provide dj services to various functions, adding to it’s promotion tools, an interactive reach approach, gaining intimate access to the fan base.

Mr. J has made history with GospelTracks Records, being the first and only Bahamian artist to have signed with the label for distribution. The connection and contract deal was all done through the platform of social media, which are tools the company use expose it’s business and it’s artists. It was a simple nature of product, presentation, image and investor attraction. GospelTracks Records liked what they saw and heard and made an offer. Plans are in the pipeline for Mr. J to make his debut appearance in Brazil.

Drawing from the popular Bahamian adage, “when you don’t know a man, call him mister”, GesnerDalmon aka Mr. J, has been demonstrating that not only is he a minister of the gospel in reggae music but also a conscious artist, raising awareness of some of the social challenges that people are faced with. Speaking the words of this life is a mission that Mr. J is continuously engaging in while trying to encourage others to follow the way of the cross of Christ and gain knowledge to improve the quality of their life.

Following the launch of his 2013 I’m a Virgin music video campaign, Mr. J is set to relaunch the campaign in 2014, dubbed ATM (abstinence till marriage) in celebration of his 40th. This comes on the heels of his present campaign against the Bahamas Government’s proposal to 26thimplement VAT, which has been widely opposed by the Bahamian populous. The campaign consists of singles No Vat Tax, We Don’t Want No Vat, and No Vat Tax Music video which has received favorable airplay on local broadcast station, Cable Bahamas and featured on the popular website TheBahamasWeekly.com.

Born in Nassau Bahamas, April 26thand ambitious young man. From an early age Mr. J was taught the value of hard work and honesty which he applied very early in his life. After graduating from high school, Mr. J enrolled in a local vocational institute where he graduated with the basic fundamentals of electronics. He then began his career as an electronics repair technician.

In 1996, Mr.J got started with his music career after discovering his hidden talent of singing, lying dormant in him. Music was always an interest of Mr.J but not to the point of becoming a music artist. After discovering his musical talent, Mr.J began singing more often at church functions, local events and holding practice sessions with fellow music artist Golden Fox. He purchased his first multitrack recording software (Acid 1.0) and was blown away from actually hearing his voice on record. Mr.J made his international debut in Canada in 2003 at a pre festival concert dubbed “Son Splash”. In 2004, He recorded his first professional single, titled, I Come Fi Tell, with a local record label called Dunamus Soundz. Mr.J returned to Canada in 2008 and recorded a single called, Money We Want with fellow artist DJ Evangelist. In January of 2009, Mr.J and DJ Evangelist recorded the music video for the single Money We Want, which received favorable airplay around the Caribbean. Following his video shoot, Mr.J travelled to Guyana in April of 2009 to perform at an event called The Real Eatser Jam. While in Guyana, Mr.J collaborated with a few music artists and recorded a compilation song and video titled Last Days, produced at Brutal Tracks Guyana. The video is available on youtube by searching Last Days-feat Global Linkup.

Mr.J is currently working on a series of new video projects and is in studio recording his album. Mr.J has been busy creating international networks and making friends globally. He is well on his way in being recognized on a global scale.
