Freeport, Bahamas - With five sold-out shows under their belt and two more productions set for this weekend, Out of the Ashes Entertainment’s Crazy Love 2 – Love Gets Crazier has undoubtedly had one outrageous ride.

The play is set for its final run in Grand Bahama on Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th at 8:00pm at the Regency Theatre.

Playwright and producer Gea Pierre is over the moon at the response from Grand Bahama and how well received the Crazy Love 2 cast have been, with all their scandalous drama and hilariously tricky love triangles.

“Thank you so much Grand Bahama, on behalf of Out of the Ashes Entertainment and the entire Crazy Love crew, guided by our directors Patrice Johnson and Brian Roxbury. Grand Bahama has never failed us and we want to thank you for your continued support,” Pierre said.

While the crew knew very early on the first three shows would be a sold out weekend based on the rapid sales at the ticket outlets, Pierre said there were still those who had not yet seen the first production and had only heard about it, so there was some trepidation on whether the audience would enjoy Crazy Love 2, especially with all of the hype from last year.

OLD FLAMES – Vanessa and Ian could not resist rekindling that old flame, despite their teetered past.

In fact, Crazy Love was such a hit last year that the performance, which all unfolded on stage at the Love Boutique, won the cast and crew the 2016 Bahamian Icon Award for Best Live Ensemble.

So creating a spin off from such a crazy first production was a gargantuan feat, but one Pierre has delivered with even more pain, triumph, heartbreak and a whole lot of crazy.

Deborah Gray, who was back after waiting a year to learn Vanessa’s fate, said the outcome was so unexpected.

“I thought the first one was awesome, Gea did a great job. The second one, I don’t like the way it ended, but I guess we’ll have to come back for the third one to see. It just left you hanging and we know Vanessa is still in love with Ian,” Gray said.

LOVE TRIANGLE – Barber and Keisha could never get enough of each other, no matter who comes into their life or how far they try to get away.

Ashelique Thompson thought the first one was hilarious and enjoyed the fact that with Crazy Love 2 she learned even more about the characters.

Talia Reckley had to catch up, having missed out on Crazy Love, but said the play was truly funny, the characters were easily relatable and the story lines addressed everyday life, whether you are a man or woman.

Benjamin Ferguson, Jr. was certainly not disappointed, especially after Crazy Love he expected the drama to intensify.

“It covered real relationship topics that give insight to knowing your value, knowing when to walk away and how the heart wants what the heart wants, so I was well entertained. I was totally caught off-guard with the ending though,” said Ferguson.

Ambrose Richardson had anticipated the play was going to be a good production after hearing from everyone how nice the first one was, so after seeing Crazy Love 2, he wishes he hadn’t missed out last year.

“Now I’m waiting to see the third one,” he said.

The cliffhanger at the end has erased any doubt that there will be a Crazy Love 3.

After wrapping the set up this weekend, Out of the Ashes Entertainment will move the production to New Providence in April.

In the meantime, ticket outlets for the show on February 24th and 25th are Gizmos and Gadgets and The Seventeen Shop.
