Curtis
Jordan, a young man, an exceptional singer and a child of God. His voice
is compared to the smoothness of Smokie Nortful, and the energy Micah
Stampley, yet his personality and lifestyle of worship is eminent in
this refreshing new sound of Curtis Jordan. Born on June 16th, 1987,and
lives on the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. This Dynamic, Talented and
highly Anointed young man, gave his life to the lord at the age of
fifteen, and the anointing of God that is upon his life has only
increased since then. Anyone would agree that the Future of Gospel music
in the Caribbean is in safe hands after being in Curtis's presence, on
and off the stage. Curtis currently is a member of Deliverance Temple
International where he serves as the choir director, but he started his
journey in 2003 at the Arima Deliverance Temple Church as his Pastor,
Rev Roger Mendez’s personal assistant then joining the Choir. It was
there, that his talent and musical ability was discovered. It wasn’t
long till he was the choir director and lead in his own church group.
God
has truly blessed this young man and opened a door for him to be apart
of band that is led by one of Trinidad & Tobago’s top female
vocalist, Melissa “Precious” Browne. He have been writing his own music
for the age of eighteen and performing Live across Trinidad and Tobago,
but in 2009 he recorded and released his first R&B Gospel single
"trust me" that rocked the airwaves of the Caribbean, and is now the
Christian household anthem. In June 2010, Curtis released another heart
stirring hit “ALiVE” that is taking Caribbean Gospel music to another
level. This year Curtis will be performing in the Marlin Awards
(Caribbean Gospel Awards) that takes place in the Bahamas, where is he
is also nominated for two awards. He is currently working on an Album
release, that is carded for March 2011.
Curtis Jordan arrives in Freeport today for a free concert Saturday. Left to right: Jordan Curtis, Debbie Huyler (Grand Bahama Tourism), and Apostle Allen Albury (event organizer).
