FLIFF to present two Bahamian films: Gentle Giant and When Pigs Swim

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism will be hosting a Bahamas Bahamas Night at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) on Wednesday, November 11th. 

The special evening offering a taste of Bahamian hospitality, entertainment, and Bahamian films will take pace at Here is how it takes place at Cinema Paradiso in Fort Lauderdale.

Here's the schedule:

At 7pm at the River behind Cinema Paradiso, a Junkanoo Parade with 12-14 dancers and musicians all in Junkanoo costumes, will perform a Junkanoo Rushout in the front of the cinema

At approximately 7:10pm, the Junkanoo performers lead audience in the theatre.  Bahamian filmmaker Gina Rodgers-Sealy will be introduced before the screening of her documentary film, GENTLE GIANT: The Andre Rodgers Story

Following that we Bahamian filmmaker, Charlie Smith will be introduced and his short film WHEN PIGS SWIM will be shown.

Following the screenings, the Junkanoo troupe will lead the audience into
the Courtyard for Sands Beer  and Conch Fritters.
