Freeport, The Bahamas - The following is a statement by the Grand Bahama Entertainers, Musicians and Artists Association president, Nat Cambridge:
In
response to an overwhelming consensus from Ministry Of Tourism, the GBPA other industry
partners for its need, the GBEMAA has
begun the process of preparing a booklet that will list as many entertainers
and artists on Grand Bahama as possible. The purpose of this booklet is to have
a comprehensive listing of entertainers, musicians and artists, active and
aspiring, on Grand Bahama. This booklet will have pictures and bio’s and will
list skill sets and band and/or group affiliations. From solo acts to bands and
everything in between, the booklet will list each of these separately.
It is our goal to afford vendors and
prospective clients to easy access to information and the services of
entertainers and artists, here on Grand Bahama, through the GBEMAA and through
this publication. Further, we look forward to a time when the organizational
and structural advantages and security of the GBEMAA will become attractive to
local entertainers and our vendors and prospective hirers here on Grand Bahama.
Our hope is that they each will grow confident in the GBEMAA and use us as a
portal to great experiences in the areas of arts, entertainment and live music
as hirers and hires.
For these reasons, the GBEMAA
requests that you, your band/group, and its individual members, present
headshots, bios and group photos along with bios so that this information can be entered into the
booklet. The deadline for entries is Monday, February 16th. 2015.
