Freeport , Grand Bahama - An impressive cadre of international and local speakers are lined up to pour into the lives of those attending the inaugural Bahamas Global Youth Festival in Grand Bahama, being held under there theme, Inspired By Hope.

Dubbed “Biggie Fest”, the event will make its historic debut this week beginning Wednesday April 8 - 10 at the Grand Lucayan at 7:30 p.m., climaxing with the Bahamas Gospel Party - the free cd release concert of Tony Lowe and Dora Brown who wrote the Biggie Fest theme song, “There’s Still Hope” in Count Basie Square, Port Lucaya Marketplace.

“We are trying to bring this island together to create an atmosphere of creativity, of knowledge,  innovation and evangelism. The networking that can be achieved at this festival is astounding as we are not only bringing some of the brightest of minds together but also some of the most talented individuals on this island,” said Rev. Clinton Minnis, Biggie Fest founder.

“Our young people need to know that its okay to dream but the process for developmental and spiritual improvement does not stop there in their heads.  Faith without works is dead and so it’s up to them to take the knowledge disseminated at Biggie Fest and do something with it. Parents need to attend Biggie-Fest too, to see how their actions and support can help their children become the adults they were purposed to be. It is pivotal that our youths get the support of their parents to help push and motivate them to become the people they were purposed to be,” Rev. Minnis said.
