"La La Land" wins record 7 Golden Globes

The musical film, "La La Land" came out triumphant at the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night setting a record with 7 awards including best motion picture - musical or comedy, best director, best screenplay, best score and acting awards for its stars nominated at the awards show. 

Meryl Streep, who was honoured for lifetime achievement with the Cecil B. DeMille Award captivated the audience, and referenced president-elect Donald Trump in her speech.

"Moonlight" came away with the best motion picture drama award.

The "People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" won for best TV movie/limited series.
