The 2008 Tr uth: Hip Hop Fest is set to take place on Friday, September 5th at the Rain Forest Theater, Wyndham Nassau Resort at 7 pm in New Providence.

Hip Hop Fest Founder and Producer, Lavard ‘Manifest’ Parks is set to blaze up the stage with his explosive sound and lyrics. This emcee hails from the HHF hometown, Nassau, Bahamas. In just a few short weeks, you will see him live and in full effect at the Rain Forest Theater, Wyndham Nassau Resort.  Meanwhile, here’s what we think you should know about him:

  • Founded his own record label, Dunamus Soundz Records, in the year 2000 and has since released 9 albums from the label.
  • A Marlin Award winner, his hit song ‘I Shall Rise’, featuring songstress JoAnn Callender, is nominated for the 2008 ‘Song of the Year’ Marlin Award.
  • Is getting ready to release his third solo album under the Distribution label, ‘Holy South Records’, founded by ‘Mr. Del’, out of Tennessee.
