Paradise Island, Bahamas - Atlantis and The Islands Of The Bahamas played host to the 2008-09 Miami HEAT Dancers poster/calendar photo shoot, held September 25, 2008. The photo shoot took place at Atlantis, Paradise Island.

The beautiful beaches and picturesque views of the Islands Of The Bahamas  served as the backdrop for this year’s HEAT Dancers poster and web-based calendar shoot. Approximately 15,000 posters will be given away during the HEAT’s first Bahamas-themed night, which will take place November 14 against the Washington Wizards.

In addition, six HEAT Dancers will be featured on “Six Months of HEAT” presented by the Island Of The Bahamas. This exclusive web-based, downloadable calendar will feature a different HEAT Dancer each month and contain an imbedded offer from a different island in the Bahamas. Calendar pages will be downloadable from the HEAT Dancers page on www.HEAT.com  throughout the season.

The HEAT Dancers made an appearance at Aura Nightclub located in the Atlantis Casino on September 25th. Host DJ Hollywood was spinning the turns for the clubs "Essential Thursdays."

“I can’t think of a better location than the Islands Of The Bahamas to host a photo shoot for the Most Popular Dance Team in the NBA,” said HEAT President of Business Operations Eric Woolworth. “Gorgeous beaches, rich heritage, close proximity—it’s South Florida’s home away from home and we know the HEAT Dancers will be welcomed and pampered.”

The HEAT Dancers, the only winners of the NBA’s Dance Team Bracket Competition where they were crowned “The Most Popular Dance Team in the NBA” for three years in a row, are the league’s premier dance team. USA Today heralded the HEAT Dancers as “cutting edge,” “well-drilled and hip.” In addition to being featured on ESPN’s “The Season and MTV’s countdown show “MTV Hits,” the HEAT Dancers earned their greatest honor to date when they were selected to participate in a photo spread in FHM magazine. The HEAT Dancers remain the only non-host city dance team invited to perform during the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, wowing the audience in Houston during All-Star 2006.
