Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago —  US-based, British actor, Eamonn Walker (Oz, Chicago Fire, Othello, Tears of the Sun) made a whirl-wind visit to Trinidad and Tobago to join the cast and crew of the film Dubois (2014), when it premiered at the trinidad+tobago film festival, on Saturday (20 September), at MovieTowne, in Port of Spain.

Starring Walker as a Port of Spain vagrant, and British actress Indra Ové as a bereaved widow – Dubois tells the story of a young woman from London, who comes to Trinidad to recover from the death of her husband. She finds herself strangely drawn to a mentally ill homeless man she sees wandering the streets and a strange connection develops between them.

A joint production between the UK and T&T, with the support of the Trinidad & Tobago Film Company, the film also features local actors Michael Cherrie and Penelope Spencer, and is directed by Kaz Ové, the son of renowned T&T born and UK-based director, Horace Ové.

Walker, the son of a Trinidadian mother and Grenadian father, lived in Trinidad when he was nine, and still has family on the island. He expressed an interest in returning soon.

Fans of Walker will remember him as Kareem Said, in the HBO television series Oz, for which he won a CableAct Award, and his current role as Firehouse 51 Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, on Chicago Fire and its spin off Chicago PD.
