Nassau, Bahamas - The smoke has cleared, the dust has settled and all of social media is still abuzz with the weekend of September 20th and 21st; the weekend that the iCreate Music All Access Seminar was held at the Atlantis Resort. The event saw 8 panelists, comprised of producers, songwriters, singers, managers, consultants and a&r’s; who critiqued, engaged and answered questions from attendees over the course of two days.

Event founder Gregory Collie II, personally oversaw the event and encouraged it’s participants to take full advantage of the possible opportunities. The atmosphere was one of unity as local attendees networked amongst themselves, while creating new relationships with international attendees and panelists.

Panelists brought with them years of industry experience and networking possibilities with panelists showing interest in and exchanging professional information with some of the attendees in hopes of future collaborations.

Inga Nandi Willis, manager of super girl group TLC, expressed explicit interest in 3 local songwriters / singers with G-Unit head A&R Tony G requesting that some local producers send him beats for possible placements.

The attendees came in from different Bahamian islands, the United States and even Honduras to attend what was hailed as a great music networking experience.

Now in it’s second year, founder Gregory Collie II said the seminar could become an annual event if artists are serious. At the climax of the beat battle, panelists were moved to speak, saying that the attendees wanted to know how to get their foot in the door into the United States market when really they should be coming to The Bahamas to work with them.

At the wrap up that was hosted by DI Radio Cast founder Africa Allah, panelists thanked Collie for the opportunity as well as commended him for hosting such a great event without the financial backing of the government or any private entity. One panelist, Grammy Award winning producer Bernard “Focus” Evans Jr. emphasized that from his arrival, music was everywhere and that The Bahamas needed to invest in a music industry to foster the thriving musical talent that he personally had witnessed. He asked Collie to continue to be that bridge.

Former entertainment lawyer and host of the popular ‘Combat Jack’ show, Reggie Ossee’ commended Collie’s efforts and spoke of what he saw as a bright future for iCreate Music Seminar, commenting on what he saw it becoming in the next ten years.

The highlight for most was the highly anticipated Beat Battle with local producer, ‘Showtime Shaddy’ emerging victorious. Moved by the talent panelists decided to give more of themselves, adding personally to the overall prizes offered to the victor. The winner receives aSMS Headphone (Courtesy of G-Unit A&R Tony G)

; iChat and sound kits from Symbolyc One (S1-produced Beyoncé’s "Best Thing I Never Had", "Murder to Excellence" for Jay Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne Album’, and "Power" for Kaye West)
; entrance into "Beast of The Beasts" in NEW YORK CITY courtesy of iStandard Producers
; and Asia Bryant will personally record a hook to one of his beats and will shop it for him.

While excited about his win the popular producer remained humble, stating that the work never stops and that the music he and his group make will speak for itself! He said that he always tried to give thanks, right before everything whispering a prayer.

With the tweets, Facebook posts and instagram photos still surfacing, the buzz iCreate built is definite. Noting that people have already started to contact them about the next event , Collie has stated that he’s already begun to plan the next one.
