Angelina Jolie to present at 84th Academy Awards®

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Academy Award®-winning actress Angelina Jolie will present at the 84th Academy Awards ceremony, telecast producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer announced today.

In 1999 Jolie took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Girl, Interrupted," and she received a nomination in 2008 for her lead performance in "Changeling." Jolie recently made her writing and directing debut with the film "In the Land of Blood and Honey." She will be seen next in "Maleficent." Jolie's other film credits include "Kung Fu Panda 2," "The Tourist," "Salt," "Wanted," "A Mighty Heart," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "Taking Lives" and "The Bone Collector."

Alliance Francaise des Bahamas Children's French Movie Club - Mia et le Migou, February 11th

Nassau, Bahamas - The Alliance Francaise will hold its monthly Children's French Movie Club on Saturday, February 11th at 4pm .

This month, it will feature Mia et le Migou. Mia and the Migoo (in English), a 2008 French animated film produced by Folimage and directed by Jacques-Rémy Girerd, about a young girl's search for her father in a tropical paradise threatened by the construction of a gigantic hotel resort.

"The Truth" on Global Band Battle

Nassau, Bahamas – Bahamian reggae group, The Truth, performed LIVE on Bahamas @ Sunrise, Monday, February 6. The group will be one of several bands competing in the Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) Bahamas Competition. GBOB is the world’s largest live talent competition for bands of all genres. The winner of the Bahamas National Finals will compete against bands from countries all over the world for a chance to win a $100,000 package, including a band development deal. As bands are not allowed to do covers and must perform their own original material, the Bahamas National Finals will be a great venue for music lovers to see and hear new local music they’ll be listening to all year long.

The Beach Boys to Reunite on the Grammy Stage

Freeport, Bahamas - Rooster's is pleased to present The Producers, a Blues band visiting from the Bournemouth, England on Saturday, February 18th, 2012.

Renowned ‘till the mid-90’s as one of Britain’s best blues bands, the band has reformed with two original members (Harry Skinner, vocals/guitar, and Dave Saunders on bass) and two new members (Ray Drury on keyboards and Biff Smith on drums) after a seven-year break. Since reforming they've been receiving rave reviews, and are regaining the loyal following which made them so popular previously. New material is continually being written and incorporated into their sets which contains many of their previously recorded tracks.
