"Volunteering gives you the ability to see life from a totally different perspective than your own and to identify with the problems, challenges and situations of others, a skill that is crucial to being able to work with others." 'author unknown
What is Founders' Day
? In 2010 Family Guardian initiated a new social programme to commemorate our 1965 founding in a way that would have a meaningful impact in the neighborhoods where we work and live. We committed to closing our offices for one business day each year to enable our entire team of staff and agents to assist their charities of choice and directly participate in community building.
Our Wider Philanthropic Philosophy
FamGuard's philosophy on corporate and social responsibility is evident in everything we do. And, everything we do at FamGuard starts with our values 'a clear, strongly held set of core beliefs that reflect who we are and what the community at large can expect from us. Our values are carried through our thoughts and actions every day, inspire innovation in our products and services, and drive our commitment to excellence in all we do. The values we live by also compel us to look beyond our business goals to help make the country in which we live and work a better place. As a socially responsible company, we are committed to using our resources and our influence with others to help make our world a healthier place in every way that we can.
Over our 47-year history we have supported a broad range of community outreach programmes. Founders' Day is one of four tiers, which comprises Founders' Day, Donations, Scholarships, and the Staff Charity Fund, all of which help to develop a healthier, more mindful population both externally and internally, with a broader sense of compassion and responsibility.
