Nassau, Bahamas - Family Guardian has become a Bronze Sponsor of the Sunshine
Insurance Second Annual Marathon Bahamas Race Weekend scheduled for
January 14, 2012. The annual event is a major fundraiser for several
local charitable organizations including the Cancer Society of The
Bahamas, Sister Sister, Princess Margaret Hospital, and the Hospital
Foundation, with 100 percent of the money raised by the Race for the
Cure® remaining in The Bahamas to fund breast cancer programs and
women's health initiatives.
In presenting the
donation, Necka Wells, Family Guardian's Assistance Vice President,
Group Operations, extended the Company's good wishes for a successful
event and thanked Sunshine Insurance and Marathon Bahamas for their
important work in heightening awareness about breast cancer and
assisting those whose lives have been impacted by the disease.
