A super powered heroine who actually wants to save everyone...

A warrior princess finds her idyllic island life disrupted when she saves a crashed pilot from drowning. When she learns about a global war from him, she commits herself to using her mythical attributes and articles of legend to bring back peace.

Diana Prince is the Amazonian princess on the island of Themyscira who will later be known as Wonder Woman after leaving her home to fight in World War 1 in hope of killing Ares. Captain Steve Trevor is an American fighter pilot who happens to be an Allied spy and responsible for Diana’s decision to leave her island of women to fight in the war he is fighting. Doctor Isabel Maru is the Spanish chief chemist who is also known as Doctor Poison and is specializing in the creation of a certain gas that would help her side win World War 1. General Erich Ludendorff is a driven soldier of rank in the German Army during the first world war who intends to use the newly created gas to kill anyone involved in the Armistice.

Wonder Woman is an awesome Summer blockbuster that shows the potential of the DC Extended Universe. It is so good that it actually makes other movies connected to it better after watching it and rewatching them. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine have a chemistry that helps bring you into the story and their performances have subtle nuances that makes you believe the most outrageous of situations. Patty Jenkins shows that her theatrical directorial debut in Monster was not a fluke as she masterfully weaves this fable seamless into the tapestry started by Zack Snyder while still maintaining its own identity that makes me eager to see what she does next on her own. This film is currently the best of the DCEU and holds up well when compared to the classic DC Comics movies that Warner Bros. has given us in the past. I know that this motion picture will be compared to Captain America: The First Avenger but in execution it has more in common with War Horse or Lawrence of Arabia. Imagine the novel idea of a super powered person who wants to save the world in general and all the people in it without exception or conflict of interest. I rate this movie a rating of 4 out of 5.
