This House Looked Like An Easy Target. Until They Found What Was Inside...

Three reckless young thieves break into the house of blind veteran with the intention of committing the perfect heist. What they find is more than they bargained for as their home invasion becomes a fight for their lives.

Rocky is a young woman fed up with the abuse her & her younger sister must take from their trailer trash mother and is open to taking any avenue to get little Diddy away from their parent. Alex is the young man attracted to Rocky who has been supplying her and her boyfriend with keys that his father has as part of the home security company he works for. Money is Rocky’s boyfriend who is looking to score big with one last heist to move with her to the West Coast if they can get Alex on board to supply the key to the house. Norman Nordstrom is The Blind Man who is a military veteran living with only his dog in a dilapidated house in a desolate part of town after the death of his daughter in a car accident.

Don’t Breathe is a great thriller with horror elements or a great horror with elements of a thriller. Thanks to this movie, I am now looking forward to seeing what actress Jane Levy and director Fede Alvarez do together after this and the remake of Evil Dead they worked on in 2013. Stephen Lang’s performance in this film is worth seeing as The Blind Man who terrorizes the young people desperate enough to have broken into his home. This motion picture truly shines during the tense scenes where you are holding your breath in anticipation for the coming scare. There are parts of this film that bring to mind movies like Wait Until Dark and Panic Room but also The Collector and Cujo. Everyone involved in this production should be proud of the memorable bit of cinema they have produced.

I rate this movie a 4 out of 5.
