NEWS ITEM ON ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 6 PM SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2020.

...TROPICAL DEPRESSION FORMS OVER THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN SEA...

...FORECAST TO BECOME A HURRICANE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT

APPROACHES NICARAGUA AND HONDURAS...

AT 5 PM EDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWENTY-NINE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 15.0 °NORTH AND LONGITUDE 73.2 ° WEST OR ABOUT 315 MILES SOUTHEAST OF KINGSTON JAMAICA.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWENTY-NINE IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 15  MILES PER HOUR  and this westward motion is expected to continue through Sunday night.  A slower motion toward the west-southwest and then southwest is forecast on Monday and Tuesday.  On the forecast track, the center of the cyclone is expected to be near the northeastern coast of Nicaragua by Monday night.

 MAXIMUMSUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MILES PER HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS.
