General Situation: High pressure ridge builds across the area with moderate strong breezes as weak low to mid-level troughing trigger a few passing showers over the NW and Central Bahama Islands. The high pressure ridge will shift eastward as a cold front moves down across Florida on Wednesday, stalls and gradually dissipates through Friday. Another cold front will move across the Southern United States to Florida and produce pre-frontal activity across the Bahamas on Saturday. The cold front will move through the NW Bahamas late Saturday or early Sunday with few lingering showers likely.

Monday 09th – Mostly sunny and warm with few passing showers during the daytime, turning mostly fair to clear and mild at night with the slight chance of a passing shower. Maximum temperature 84°F and a minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the NW and Central Bahamas and an advisory across the SE Bahamas for ocean swells. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts in the NW Bahamas, increasing to 15 to 20 knots late and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, increasing 15 to 25 knots tonight. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas, building to 4 to 6 feet late and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, building to 5 to 8 feet late. Light to moderate N’ly to NE’ly swells expected across the NW Bahamas and moderate to large N’ly swells across the Central and SE Bahamas.

Tuesday 10th – Partly sunny, breezy and warm with few isolated showers during the daytime. Patchy clouds and mild at night with the chance of a few passing showers. Maximum temperature 86°F and a minimum temperature 69°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the NW Bahamas and advisory for the Central and SE Bahamas with ocean swells. Winds E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 25 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 in the NW Bahamas and 5 to 8 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet at times. Light to moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells across the entire Bahamas.

Wednesday 11th – Partly cloudy and very warm with few scattered showers likely during the daytime, turning partly cloudy to fair skies and warm at night with the chance of few passing showers. Maximum temperature 87°F and minimum temperature 70°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution across the NW and Central Bahamas and advisory for SE Bahamas with ocean swells. Winds E to SE at 15 to 20 knots early in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later; E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 25 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet later; 4 to 6 feet in the Central Bahamas and 5 to 8 feet over the ocean in the SE Bahamas but slightly higher in light to moderate E’ly swells across the entire Bahamas.

Thursday 12th – Partly sunny and warm across the NW and Central Bahamas, turning partly cloudy to fair and cool at night. Elsewhere, partly to mostly cloudy and warm with few lingering passing showers across the SE Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 84°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the SE Bahamas late. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots for the entire Bahamas and seas 4 to 6 feet over the entire Bahamas with moderate E’ly ocean swells.

Friday 13th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with few passing showers mainly across the SE Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and cool at night with showers continuing across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 78°F and minimum temperature 62°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution over the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet overall areas of the Bahamas but up to 9 feet in N’ly to NE’ly ocean swells.

Saturday 14th – Partly to mostly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas, turning partly cloudy with lingering scattered showers across the NW and Central Bahamas at night. Partly sunny, breezy and warm with few showers in the SE Bahamas, turning partly cloudy to fair and warm at night with the chance of a shower. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 70°F. Small craft should exercise caution across parts of the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds SSE to SSW at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times and SE’ly at 15 to 20 knots in parts of the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots or less later. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 4 to 6 feet in parts of the Central and SE Bahamas but up to 8 feet in diminishing N’ly to E’ly ocean swells.

Sunday 15th – Partly to mostly sunny and very warm with a few passing showers early during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and mild at night with the chance of a shower across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Winds SW to W switching W to NW at 10 to 15 knots across the NW and Central Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and SE To S at 10 to 15 knots in the SE Bahamas, falling light and variable at times. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the entire Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant for rough surf and the moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during the stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers.
