(Updated) All Airports in The Bahamas (except Grand Bahama) to Open on Saturday, October 8th

Nassau, New Providence -- UPDATED: As of this morning (Saturday Oct 8), NEMA has advised that the Grand Bahama Airport is NOT open to the public as yet,  but did open at 12 noon for general aviation and for emergency flights.

Grand Bahama International Airport will reopen before Monday, the Department of Civil Aviation has advised.

FRIDAY NOTICE: The Department of Civil Aviation in conjunction with the Airport Authority and in consultation with the Department of Meteorology, advises the general public that effective Saturday the 8th October 2016, ALL airports in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas will be open for normal operations.
