GENERAL SITUATION: A strong cold front in the vicinity of the Extreme Northwest Bahamas will move through the remaining islands today with cooler temperatures and brisk winds in its wake.

Monday 23rd – Partly to mostly cloudy and windy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms; windy and a bit cool tonight in the Northwest Bahamas and variable cloudiness and breezy with a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the Central Bahamas through tonight. Maximum Temperature 81°F and Minimum Temperature 70°F. Small Craft Advisory in effect for the Northwest Bahamas and will come into effect for the Central Bahamas by tonight. Winds NNW-NNE 15-35 knots in the northern islands and W at 10 knots or less today becoming 15-25 knots in the Central Bahamas and NW-N 10-15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 5-8 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 3 feet or less increasing 5-8 feet over the ocean in the Central Bahamas and 2-4 feet in the remainder of the country.

Tuesday 24th – Partly cloudy and windy in the Northwest & Central Bahamas with the chance of isolated showers and cloudy to overcast and windy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the southeast islands. Maximum Temperature 83°F and Minimum Temperature 72°F. Winds NE 20-25 knots. Seas 6-9 feet over the ocean.

Wednesday 25th – Partly cloudy and windy in the Northwest & Central Bahamas with the chance of isolated showers and cloudy to overcast and windy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the Southeast Bahamas. Maximum Temperature 85°F and Minimum Temperature 72°F. Winds NE-E 20-30 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and NE 15-25 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 7-10 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 5-8 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

Thursday 26th – Cloudy to overcast and windy with few scattered showers. Maximum Temperature 79°F and Minimum Temperature 69°F. Small Craft Advisory in effect. Winds NE 20-25 knots. Seas 6-9 feet over the ocean.

Friday 27th – Cloudy to overcast with few scattered showers but windy in the Northwest & Central Bahamas. Maximum Temperature 79°F and Minimum Temperature 69°F. Small Craft Advisory in effect. Winds NE 20-25 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and NE 10-15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 6-9 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 2-4 feet over the ocean in the remainder of the country.

Saturday 28th – Partly cloudy and a bit breezy in the Northwest Bahamas with the chance of few showers and partly sunny in the remainder of the islands. Maximum Temperature 80°F and Minimum Temperature 69°F. Small Craft Caution in effect. Winds NE 15-20 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and NE 10-15 knots elsewhere. Seas 4-6 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 2-4 feet elsewhere.

Sunday 29th – Cloudy with few showers and a bit breezy mainly in the vicinity of the Northwest & Central Bahamas. Maximum Temperature 81°F and Minimum Temperature 69°F. Small Craft Caution in effect for the Northwest Bahamas. Winds NE 15-20 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and NE 10-15 knots elsewhere. Seas 4-6 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 2-4 feet in the remainder of the islands.
