This is the Marine Forecast for the Bahamas for 24 hours from 12 pm EST Saturday 25th July 2015 issued at Nassau Meteorological Office at 1600 UTC.

General situation: A surface to upper level trof north of the Bahamas coupled with some tropical moisture will generate showers and thunderstorms across the Northwest Bahamas today…meanwhile high pressure will dominate the remainder of the islands
 
For the Northwest Bahamas

Advisory: Gusty winds and higher seas can be expected in showers and thunderstorms

Winds: South to southwest at 15 knots

Seas running: 3-5 feet over the ocean

Weather: Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms... Some thunderstorms could be strong to severe

For the Central and Southeast bahamas

Winds: Southeast to south at 10-15 knots

Seas running; 2-4 feet over the ocean

Weather: Chance of isolated showers

Sunset at  7.59 pm and Sunrise  at 6.35 am Sunday

Moonrise  at 2.42 pm and Moonset at 2.07 am Sunday

High tide at 3.35 pm and low tide at 9.57 pm and high again at 3.44 am Sunday and low again at 9.59 am Sunday

Tropical weather outlook: A non-tropical area of low pressure could form along a frontal boundary early next week between the southeast United States coast and Bermuda. Environmental conditions are expected to be only marginally conducive for this system to acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics while it moves east-northeastward or north-eastward.

Elsewhere tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days
