NEWS ITEM ON POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE JOYCE ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 6AM WEDNESDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER 2018.

…JOYCE IS NOW A REMNANT LOW…

AT 5:00AM EDT, THE CENTER OF POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE JOYCE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 30.4°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 27.9° WEST OR ABOUT 525 MILES SOUTH OF THE AZORES.

JOYCE IS MOVING TOWARD THE SOUTH-SOUTHWEST AT 8 MPH.  A SOUTHWESTWARD MOTION IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MILES PER HOUR (MPH) WITH HIGHER GUSTS. GRADUAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST, AND THE POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE IS EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS.
